With fall finally here, I was dying for some good apple pie, and there is no better place to get pie than in Julian. Julian is about an hour away from me. It’s a tiny historical town that is famous for its apple pie and cider. I hadn’t been to Julian in years and it was so nice to take a little day trip and enjoy the fall festivities.

There are two main pie shops in Julian, but the real Julian Pie Co is sort of tucked away (and usually has a much shorter line). Their apple pie is my absolute favorite but their cherry apple pie is a close runner up! If you’re heading to Julian be sure to also try their delicious hot apple cider. It’s perfect for a cozy fall day.
On the way home, we decided to stop by Lake Cuyamaca, which I had never been to. The lake amongst the setting sun was breathtaking and was a perfect way to end our day trip. It was actually pretty chilly once the sun was setting and it really began to feel like fall.

Omg pie! Yum! I'm sure it feels a lot warmer in California than it does here in Montreal, though! Get me some of that hot apple cider please.. 😉

It's so lovely! Especially when it gets cooler! The sunset on the lake was gorgeous when I went the other day.
