Scalp Care=Self Care

April 19, 2020

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Rooted Rituals. All opinions are my own.
As someone with extremely fine, damage prone hair, I get product buildup FAST and my hair shows it. There was a point about a year or so ago that my hair wouldn’t even hold a curl for five minutes because of the product build up and my scalp would look greasy no matter what I did. This is when I discovered that no matter how many hydrating masks or conditioning treatments you do, you have to treat and take care of your scalp as well. I’ve integrated Rooted Rituals products into my haircare ritual to make sure I don’t end up with that crazy amount of buildup and overall scalp issues again! Here’s how I do it:

1. I like to start off with a total reset and really do a deep cleanse. The Pre-shampoo Root Rinse, Quick Rinse Scalp Scrub and Clarifying Shampoo are a perfect way to do this and create a clean base.

2. From there its time to condition. I like using either the Silicone-Free Conditioner or the Deep Hydrating Concentrate depending on how much hydrating I feel like I need that day.

3. And then my favorite part, treating the scalp. I go in with the Cooling & Strengthening tonic and massage that into my scalp with Root Rejuvenating Scalp Massager (If you have a dry scalp these products will be game changers for you). I love how refreshing the cooling tonic feels on your scalp and of course how well it breaks up all that product buildup you may have.

If you’ve been struggling with build up, dry or irritated scalp or just want to take the best possible care of your scalp and in turn your hair try incorporating these products into your haircare ritual! You can shop the products here!
