Today I wanted to share my everyday makeup look with you guys. This look plays up any eye color or shape and brings out all your best features while still looking natural and effortless. All products I used are mentioned below, but before I get to that, I want to share a few tips and tricks I use to create this natural and effortless makeup look.
Tips for Creating a Natural Makeup Look
- Of course, the most important thing to creating the perfect makeup look is a healthy, flawless base. You can find my 3 steps for a healthy, glowing makeup routine here.
- Now the real key to this look is the use of soft browns rather than harsh blacks. I’ve used a light brown shadow and just barely dusted it on my crease. Picking an eye shadow one shade darker than your own skin tone and lightly sweeping it across your crease gives just a hint of depth and brings out your eyes. I use this same shadow to gently line my lower lash line.
- For the eye liner, I chose a dark brown powder with a moistened liner brush to create a natural looking winged liner. Using brown eye liner (especially a powder) rather than black creates a more natural look while still making your eyes pop.
- For the lip, I like using a matte lip liner to fill in my lips. My go-to is MAC’s stripdown which is the perfect warm nude.
- Lastly, and my favorite part, is playing up the lashes. There are many false lashes that create a very natural look but I personally like to stick to my favorite mascara (Loreal Telescopic) for everyday makeup.
